What are some of the most important things that I have learned this semester about integrating technology into the classroom?

Some of the most important things that I have learned in the classroom that will help me integrate technology into the classroom in a smart and easy way. I loved the fact that we swept through the whole book and covered everything from powerpoint presentations to data base projects. All of it helped me realize that it is neccesary to integrate technology into the classroom today because technolgy is such a huge part of our lives. Through technology and a steady hand of guidance I believe I will be able to teach my students many things that will prepare them for the mondern world and its complicities. I had a great time learning all fo the different aspects of technolgy and how to choose the best way to use it to help keep our students involoved, interactive, interested, and guided throught our their learning process. In the future I will be prepared and ready and plan on continuing what I have learned in here and transferring it over to my students in the near future.

What technologies will I use and how will they benefit my students?

The most important tecnology that I will use as a teacher for my students is probably powerpoint presentations displayed on a smartboard, internet web searches on different topics and issues and then just Microsoft word so they willl be able to type out some of they given reports and reviews that I will want them to go over. However thoses aren't the only ones that I will be using as a teacher; but they are the most common and vital ones to jumpsatart my students technology IQ.

How can using technology in my future classroom help me improve my teaching practice?

Using technology in my future class room can help my overall practice by a number of ways. First of all it allows the students to be able to interact whether its through groups or individually. Secondly it can also be used as an information base for the students whe doing online web searches for projects. I as a teacher can use virtual reality, games, movies and powerpoints as a way to entertain my students while teaching them. This is where the biggest advantages lie, we as teachers all must learn ways to incorporate our teachings and lesson plans into technology based application because the future is technology and we must prepare our students of today for tomorrow's challanges. I will incorporate ways to involve my students in technology as a way of teaching them not only my subject area but also the technology that they are applying along the way; this will be part of what my curriculm as a teacher but I will also leave my students more well informed in more ways then one when they leave my classroom.

What do I need to know to integrate technology into my classroom?

There are a number of elements that teachers must know to be able to apply the right ammount of technology into a classroom. We as teachers must be able to know how to operate different kinds of computers, along with the different variety's of programs on each computer such as excel, powerpoint, any types of smart boards, awareness of the internet and word. The ability to be able to manuever these different types of programs to benefit the way you teach your students is the whole point. This will do a number of things that will benefit the way teachers educate; it will make it more interesting and will make the students get a more real and simulated picture of the world as a whole. These programs are just a few of the many that we must learn in order to not only teach but to communicate with other teachers and the students parents and grade our papers and enterthem into the grade books.

Importance Of Technology in the Classroom

There are a number of reasons that intregrating technology into the classroom is of the utmost impotance and effiecency. First of all, there is no better way for students to learn then interacting and seeing what they are doing. I believe that to be true from PreSchool up to being a senior in high school. Also there are a number of different interesting actions and programs that teachers can take that will help them grab the students attentions and keep them interested in the subject area. From personal experience I know first hand what a great effect smart boards can have on a student because I was privledged enough that my teacher in calculus my senior year had one and I can attest to the assistance that they provide. However smartboards are just the beginning to what teachers can begin to display to students. I believe that as long as teachers know what they are doing when it comes to the program that they are showing that there is no end to what they can teach.
